is a Tunisian composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist renowned for his contemporary electronic interpretations of traditional North African music. He initially trained in classical Arabic music and jazz, and draws inspiration from popular sound heritage, influenced by his father, former curator of Tunisia’s National Sound Archive. Khalil has collaborated on a number of artistic projects, including trip-hop music with the Dhamma duo and the percussive project ‘Frigya’ alongside percussionist Imed Alibi. As manager of the Franco-Tunisian label Shouka, he has produced artists such as Nuri, Ghoula, and Ammar 808. Khalil has a diverse musical style, blending club music, electro-pop, jazz, and academic music, while continuously exploring new aesthetics.
